I have spent the last 17 years teaching various versions of English and Drama at numerous high schools, including:

  • Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco

  • Alhambra High School in Martinez

  • Carondelet High School in Concord

  • Connections Visual and Performing Arts Academy in Tuolumne

Since, 2006, I have taught English at Columbia College, while a few years prior, I taught English at Butte College in Oroville. The theatre has been a huge part of my life, having performed on East Bay Area stages for 22 years. In fact, my children spend many a schoolnight, securely wrapped in sleeping bags, spread out between theatre seats sleeping while I rehearsed.

A few mottos, driving my life:

  • Art holds a mirror up to Nature and, as humans, we are charged with looking at the reflections!

  • Pay it Forward.

  • The greatest casualty is being forgotten.

  • Service

  • Ovarian Cancer – it Whispers, so Listen.

  • "There are worse crimes than burning books - one of them is not reading them" (Brodsky)

PS:  I am the proud mother of two children and a grandma to three of the most fabulous children in the world!
