About

  I grew up in Modesto and began my academic career right here in the Yosemite College District! I worked full time at the Agriculture Department to support myself while a student here. I then transferred to UC Davis to complete my bachelor's and later finished my academic career, earning a PhD in entomology at UC Riverside. --and now I'm back  as a teacher!  I was so inspired by a professor of one of the biology courses I took here, that I've wanted to fulfill that service to others ever since.

  From working through much of my schooling, I understand and sympathize with the challenges many of you face, balancing your education with work and personal life.
