Hi, Claim Jumpers!  I relocated with my two teenagers to Twain Harte from Colorado in 2016.  I'm originally from southern California.  I love living in a small mountain town and exploring the Sierra Nevada.  Yosemite blew my mind.  In my downtime, I enjoy listening to music, dancing, being creative and caring for my critters.  I began my educational journey at Orange Coast College and Fullerton College. I transferred to and graduated from Chapman University with a B.S. in Environmental Science.  I was also in the master's degree program for Environmental Studies at Cal State Fullerton.  Then life happened and lo and behold, I wound up working in education as the Registrar at Columbia College.  What is a Registrar you ask?  When I tell people my job title they tend to give me a funny look.  What in the heck does that mean?  Well, it means I oversee the Admissions and Records Department here at Columbia and your transcripts will have my signature on them. I also have the honor of being the certifying official for veteran benefits.  I love my job and the great people I work with but what makes this job so rewarding is working with Columbia College students.  From veterans and older returning students to first-time freshman and high school students, I’m able to participate in the entire education cycle beginning with completing an application and ending with graduation.  Our small college community allows me to build relationships with students and to give personalized attention and support.  All of this happens on our gorgeous and serene campus.  Pinch me- I'm so lucky to work here!  I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your educational journey.
