I earned my Master of Arts degree in English (Literature concentration) from CSU Stanislaus; I am now lucky enough to teach a wide range of English classes at Columbia College, Modesto Junior College, and CSU Stanislaus. In a rare bit of spare time, I like to get lost in a great story, and my favorite novels include Gone With the Wind (Margaret Mitchell), A Farewell to Arms (Ernest Hemingway), On the Road (Jack Kerouac), and all seven books in the Harry Potter series.
Why I Love to Teach:
Written communication extends into our world, the air we breathe, and the spirit of our culture--it is what preserves our society, and, at the same time, what pushes us forward. Reading, writing, and learning are intricately intertwined with each other. In my classes, there are heavy doses of both reading and writing, and—as a result—you will learn more about who you are as a writer in the college realm and what techniques to utilize in order to succeed. It is my goal to help you, the student, begin your journey through academia and beyond!
