About

Hello, I am Mike Baldwin, the Director of the Dual Enrollment Programs here at Columbia College. I am a Tuolumne County native and am really excited to serve the entire Mother Lode region in helping our local high school students with their higher education journey. Whether it is a certificate program, transfer pathways, or just getting a little work or college experience, I am eager to help our local students fulfill their educational goals. I have experience working with many of our local high schools in my time with TCSOS and have spent several years as a youth and high school coach for various sports.  I am passionate about education, and earned my Masters degree in Education back in 2017. Prior to this role, I was an Instructional Support Specialist for the Chemistry and Physics programs, where I served for five years. Although I have a strong desire to see students in STEM education, I think there are so many wonderful opportunites at Columbia College for our high school students to explore and find their passion at nearly zero cost. 

When I am not at Columbia College, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four kids up in Twain Harte, and with my extended family which has long ties to this region. I am proud to be a permanent fixture of this community and of Columbia College, and am here to help in any way I can.
