My name is Nathan Frankhauser. I have had the pleasure of serving the City of Merced for the past 17 years. Before my time in Merced, I served as a Seasonal Firefighter for Cal Fire BEU and as a Reserve Firefighter for the City of Morro Bay.
I like teaching as it allows me an opportunity to give back to the fire service profession. I find teaching to be a positive way to influence the future members of the fire service.
I attended California Lutheran University, where I obtained a BA in Communication. Then, after beginning my Fire Technology Education at Oxnard College, I completed my fire academy and graduated with an AS in Fire Technology from Alan Hancock College.
I believe that education is increasingly important to the Fire Service. I truly enjoy my career as a Firefighter and feel I have a great opportunity to influence other fire service professionals. I hope to assist students, as they set forth on their chosen career path.
I prefer to be contacted by messenger in Canvas.
I typically reply within 24 hours.
