I graduated from San Diego State University with an M.A. in Education Counseling with a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Justice Practice and Trauma-Informed Care. I started my educational journey at a community college in Washington State where I earned an Associate in Arts and Science. I transferred to the University of Washington where I completed a B.A. in Geography. Before joining the team at Columbia College I worked in Social Work Research and was a homeschool educator.
I love to volunteer! I have worked with teens that are unhoused, recently arrived refugees through the organization World Relief, those affected by domestic violence with Center for a Non-Violent Community, and many more. I am a Tuolumne County resource parent (foster parent) and am passionate about my work with both the children and parents.
