I have always been fascinated by the human body and my educational journey has led me to become a physical therapist, certified athletic trainer, kinesiology instructor and Human Anatomy instructor. I am constantly amazed by the interactions of structure and function in us. I strive to follow the mantra of "ever better" as an instructor, clinician, and human being.

We use a textbook AND the associated online learning platform called Modified Mastering A&P.  

o   We use the same text in Biol 60: Human Physiology (regardless of the instructor). If you have taken Biol 60 already and have a 2-year Access code you should be all set for this class.

o   If you will be taking Biol 60 in a later semester, it is more economical to purchase the 2-year Access Code rather than the 18-week access code.

·         Things you will need:

o   Textbook: Human Anatomy and Physiology, 1th edition, by Marieb and Hoehn

o   Access Code: Modified Mastering A&P (associated with the 1th edition of the textbook)

·         Textbook Purchasing Option Descriptions:

o   Modified Mastering A&P is an online learning platform used for homework assignments and tutorials. To complete these assignments, you will need an Access Code.

§  The Access Code comes with new textbooks.

§  You can also purchase the Access Code separately, or with the Electronic Textbook (etext).

§  You can purchase monthly access, 18-week or 24-month Access codes.

o   You can purchase/rent the textbook through our online bookstore (via Barnes and Noble-there is a link on the class schedule). Or find another textbook source.

o   If you prefer having a printed copy of the textbook, the loose-leaf option is the least expensive. Or you can look for used/rentable copies.

o   For e-textbook and/or Access Code you can also purchase them directly from Pearson’s website. If this is the route you select, I recommend waiting to do this until the first week of the semester.  I will have a how-to video on Canvas.
