I joined the Academic Counseling team at Columbia College in August, 2017. In 2022, I began as the tenure track faculty counselor assigned to work with Disabled Students Programs and Services, Veteran Services, and Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS). I also teach in the Social Work and Human Services discipline.

I am also an instructor for the UC Davis Northern Training Academy and teach a variety of courses to social workers and I serve as a Court Investigator making recommendations to the Tuolumne County Superior Court about guardianships and conservatorships. Before Academic Counseling, I was the program specialist for the Foster and Kinship Care Education Program at Columbia College where I wrote curriculum and taught courses to foster parents and relative caregivers of children in foster care.  I served as a social worker and supervisor for Adult, Child and Family Services in Tuolumne County for 12 years.  Before moving to California, I was the Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution Coordinator at Florida International University located in Miami, FL.  I grew up in Indiana and earned my Bachelor and Master's degrees in Ohio (ask me about the culture of mid-west barbecues!). I recently completed my second graduate studies degree, Masters in Social Work (MSW).
